20- Bora Bora – A Modern-Day Dreamland
What else is there to say about Bora Bora that hasn’t been said? It is the crown jewel of Tahiti’s prosperity and splendor, with a sea so blue you will think you’re hallucinating. Nothing ever quite feels real, but for a brief instant, you will believe that your existence has reached its pinnacle.
Comparing Bora Bora to some of the more accessible and financially viable locations on Earth, very few people are able to visit, which is hardly surprising. Mr. Clooney (yes, we want to believe he reads this) had better make this trip worthwhile, as it will cost you a minimum of five figures for a week-long expedition.
19- Cannes, France – Shades On, Guys
The French Riviera as a whole has a reputation for being exceptional, but Cannes in particular is renowned for its beauty. You’ll feel like you’re gazing at a postcard 24 hours a day, seven days a week when you visit, which should indicate why it’s such a popular destination.
Usually, a list of twinned cities does not reveal much about a city, town, or country; however, Cannes’s list speaks for itself: Kensington and Chelsea, Acapulco, Beverly Hills, and Madrid.
Even if you must drive there for a couple of days, you should observe how things operate on the other side of the coin.
18- Dubai – A New World
Flights to Dubai are not as expensive as you may initially believe, and neither is the accommodation, particularly if you use Airbnb. Unfortunately, that’s not the point we’re attempting to make here, as it’s common knowledge that Dubai is the home of the wealthy and distinguished.
It appears to have been created particularly for people who want to display their wealth, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Some of the finest hotels can cost up to five figures per night, and that’s without factoring in the cost of the restaurants.

17- The Maldives – Escape From Everyday Troubles
The Maldives bear a superficial resemblance to Bora Bora, but the two are completely dissimilar. This location is comprised of dozens upon dozens of islands, and as a result, there are far too many distinct resorts to visit all at once.
If you were to tell people that you were planning a vacation here, they would probably ask you when and how you won the lottery, because it is so beautiful. The beaches of white sand, the deep blue ocean, and the fishery industry are all too wonderful to be true.
16- Cabo, Mexico – Time To Unwind
Cabo is likely one of the most popular destinations on this list, and I’m not just referring to wealthy individuals. Everyone views Cabo as the ideal location to relax and unwind for three to fourteen days, but there are different ways to appreciate a place like this.
You can purchase a standard hotel on the riverfront, or you can invest in million-dollar villas in the highlands, far from anyone who could conceivably track you down. If you look a little closer, you’ll quickly realize that Cabo is synonymous with wealth, even if it does not initially appear so.
15- Necker Island – The Rich Of The Rich
While many of these destinations are logically accessible, getting to Necker Island is a bit of a challenge. Sir Richard Branson is the genuine owner of the island, for those who are unaware. Sidebar: you are wealthy when you can own your own collection of islands.
The likes of Barack Obama are rumored to have visited this establishment twice during his presidency, despite the fact that it does not appear to be particularly distinctive or expensive. We’re confident that you’d have a wonderful time here, but let’s be honest: none of us are making that much money.
14- Maui, Hawaii – Pure Serenity
This one shouldn’t require a great deal of explanation, but let’s face it, it merits discussion nonetheless. Maui, and Hawaii as a whole, is the only corner of the United States that could be argued to be ‘untouched’ in multiple ways.
What is the meaning of that? We mean it is not constructed, it is not larger than life, and it is not intimidating. Maui enables visitors to feel as if they are escaping from everyday life while paying a premium to experience a vacation.
If you want to take it to the next level, believe us, there are methods to do so.
13- The Hamptons, New York – Upper Class
It doesn’t matter whether you heard about The Hamptons from a few sentences or from Weekend at Bernie’s, because they’re both magnificent. They take the term seaside resort to a whole new level, and there’s a good chance you’d see some fairly affluent individuals strolling the coastlines on any given day.
There is essentially something for everyone here, from boutiques to bars, and if you had a vacation home in The Hamptons, you probably had a privileged upbringing. That’s not a criticism either, because we’re extremely envious, which is sometimes a beneficial trait.

12- North Island, Seychelles – Breathtaking
You’ve come to the correct place if you’re seeking a remote and adventurous location. North Island, located in Seychelles, Africa, is the type of location that comes to mind when visualizing what an entry on this list might appear or sound like.
With activities such as mountain bicycling, scuba diving, kayaking, and deep-sea fishing, it’s no surprise that the wealthy and renowned come from all over the world to see what the fuss is about. Oh, and it was the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s honeymoon destination, for all you royals out there.
11- Nantucket, Massachusetts – Home Away From Home
Around 30 miles distant from Cape Cod, Nantucket is a location that European readers have probably never heard of. It is designated for men and women who wish to spend their summers in luxury without leaving the state of Massachusetts.
Alongside some seniors, you will likely encounter a large number of men with jumpers draped arrogantly across their shoulders. Sounds enjoyable, right? If you can look past all of that and appreciate Nantucket for what it truly is, then a day excursion on the ferry may be worthwhile.
10- Naples – No, Not Italy… Florida!
West Palm Beach, Orlando, Miami, and other Florida vacation spots are frequently viewed as must-visit destinations. Naples, however, is an entirely different affair.
From the pier to the city center, the Gulf of Mexico city functions as a retreat, while still retaining a sense of familiarity regardless of origin. The fact that Naples is marginally more upscale than many of its Florida counterparts is not inherently a slight against them.
It’s just that, briefly, things are different below.
9- Aspen, Colorado – Get Your Skis Out
If you’re visiting Aspen, which, for those unaware, is a terrific ski resort town in Colorado, you should do so in style. Although it is technically a “town,” it is better known as a genuine tourist destination, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Over time, it has transformed from a relatively obscure location to one of the most popular destinations for skiers, and people tend to go there year-round to get away for a few days. However, the “one percenters” we’re referring to will presumably rent out accommodations that are larger than our homes.
8- Turtle Island, Fiji – Don’t Let The Name Deceive You
Turtle Island in Fiji is a flawless location for a vacation, despite the fact that the name might throw you off a bit, provided that you are flush with cash. Oddly, only 14 to 16 couples visit at any particular moment, despite the fact that there is likely room for many more.
It makes sense, however, because the individuals who hang out there are likely some of the most famous A-listers imaginable. Obviously, this is not always the case with these types of locations, but let’s face it: going to Turtle Island is not something you would consider doing spontaneously.

7- Stowe, Vermont – Severely Underrated
No, we did not misspell Stow-on-the-World or Stoke, for those of you from the United Kingdom. Vermont’s little-known Stowe is the subject of our discussion. In truth, we could have included the entire state of Vermont, but Stowe’s mountain resorts and hiking trails make it particularly popular.
It resembles something from a Disney film, and we do not mean Star Wars. Stowe is known as the Ski Capital of the East, and if this list has taught us anything about the East Coast, it’s that they have some extremely pricey vacation destinations from top to bottom.
6- Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts – Stoic Beauty
Martha’s Vineyard is located in Massachusetts and is becoming an increasingly popular tourism destination due to its incredible beaches and unusually beautiful weather. Still, you’d have to be fairly wealthy to visit here frequently, which is why so many average citizens scoff at the concept.
It gives us a glimpse into how the other half lives, which is not something that everyone is interested in, but the photographs alone should indicate the level of affluence involved. It is irrelevant if you cannot afford it, but you must appreciate it.
5- Vail, Colorado – Shoop, Shoop, Shoop!
Now we’re returning to Colorado, where we’ll land in Vail, a location made even more popular by Rachel’s references to it in the earliest episodes of Friends, the television show. This is yet another high-quality ski resort that is frequented by celebrities and the wealthy, and it is easy to see why.
It is the greatest ski summit in the entire state, which is saying something given Colorado’s (if you want to call it that) reputation for the sport. Skiing isn’t for everyone, and we understand that, but for the majority of Americans (particularly in California), it’s a welcome break from the 365-day-a-year routine.
4- St. Barts, West Indies – Beauty with a splash of history
St. Barts, also known as Saint Barthélemy, is a beautiful location in the West Indies that generates a great deal of revenue during the winter, particularly around Christmas and New Year’s. If a boy or a girl arrives at school in a really fine automobile and brags about it, you shouldn’t be surprised if this is where they spend their summer vacation.
This is the embodiment of the preconception associated with ‘wealthy’ people, in that if they visit, they will likely never let you forget it. Despite this, an increasing number of people are beginning to value the location more for its historical significance than for its aesthetic appeal.
3- Newport, Rhode Island – Utterly Stunning
You shouldn’t be surprised that Newport plays host to a variety of luminaries from across the nation. It is the type of site where wealthy individuals spend a few months when they can afford to live a more modest lifestyle for a portion of the year.
Newport is also renowned for being the location where Eisenhower and Kennedy spend the majority of their summer vacations. Don’t let the perceived snobbery deceive you, however, as you’ll soon find yourself having a fantastic time in Newport.
2- Santa Barbara, California – The Pinnacle Of Excellence
While an entire city may not be considered a vacation destination by some, Santa Barbara is not your typical U.S. city. It is the ultimate representation of California, from the coastlines to Stearns Wharf and everywhere in between. You don’t need to be affluent to visit, but if you want that high-life experience we discussed, currency is essential.
With a population of less than 100,000, you are unlikely to be bothered by too many locals, which is likely why lesser-known celebrities of the world tend to adhere to their firearms and enjoy California instead of going all out and jetting to another country.
1- Napa Valley, California – Vineyard O’Clock
You’ve undoubtedly seen or heard about Napa Valley before, whether through Total Bellas or any other travel program on cable television. It is known for being the birthplace of wine, but if you didn’t know, it’s also quite expensive to stay there.
It makes sense that the majority of people view this as the optimal retirement location on the West Coast as an alternative to Florida. You can gaze out over the vineyard and see countless acres of land, with the sun beaming back at you. What is there not to like?
